 SPECO (HK) Co was incorporated in Hong Kong in 2002 with the aim of providing specialist construction services and systems to construction projects in and around Asia with a special focus to Vietnam market. Founded by Mr. Siah Chee Seng who has extensive bridge design and construction experience, Mr. Siah is also recognised as the foremost person in transferring bridge construction technology in Vietnam after having done so in 1992 to 1996 for the construction of Phu Luong Bridge, Hai Duong City, Hai Duong Province.
SPECO has grown quickly into a provider of skills for project management, design of temporary structures, construction engineering which has enabled its involvement in 2 major cable stay bridge in Vietnam from 2003 to 2004 i.e. for Binh Cable Stay Bridge Project in Haiphong and Bai Chay Cable Stay Bridge Project in Bai Chay in 2005 and currently starting on the Can Tho Cable Stay Bridge Project in Can Tho.
SPECO has strong government and local relationship combined with international expertise. SPECO and Chi Thang Co. represents international companies such as DOKA Formwork systems, ALGA bearings, expansion joints and post-tensioning systems, ANCOTECH rebar coupler systems and precast element lifting systems, ALIMAK HEK construction hoist, permanent hoist & working platform, SECALT/TRACTEL gondola, building maintenance unit, lifting devices and safety equipment, COMANSA tower cranes, UPRIGHT Powered Access Equipment, NAUE geotechnical products, POWER TEAM hydraulic equipment. SPECO and Chi Thang Co. is also working on a project by project basis for other products such as, DSI post-tensioning bars, SIPLAST waterproofing, LIEBHERR, ICE Piling equipment, PUTZMEISTER and SCHWING concrete pumps, LEICA survey equipment, GRUNDFOS water pumps, HILTI SPECO and Chi Thang Co. is also providing ‘Construction Engineering’ which involves the check of the permanent structure during the different construction stages and final stage, introduction of cable stay forces to the structure at different stages, precamber and deflection control of pylon and superstructure during all temporary and permanent stages. SPECO and Chi Thang Co. also manages fabrication of structural steel products on behalf on Main Contractor. SPECO and Chi Thang Co. key personnel has worked for major International companies such as Bilfinger Berger, John Hollands, VSL, etc. and has extensive knowledge of bridge construction including segmental construction, cast-in-situ and precast, design, engineering, fabrication and execution of permanent structure and temporary structure such as launching gantries, mechanized erection and also management and production in casting yards. Our staff have been involved in Projects such as Telok Blangah elevated viaduct, S’pore, BTS, Bangkok, Pakse Bridge, Laos, My Thuan Bridge, Vietnam, Seoul Expressway, Korea etc. |
